Elaine Brown, best known for being the first and only chairwoman of the Black Panthers, released an exquisite spoken word/poetry album that concentrated on civil rights in 1973 via Motown Records' Black Forum imprint. Elaine is a prison activist, writer, singer who is based in Oakland, California.
